Multiple Vulnerabilities in Tracki / Trackimo GPS Platform and application

Synopsis

1. Disclose all Tracki / Trackimo device/user info

An insecure direct object reference (IDOR) vulnerability existed in https://app.tracki.com/api/support/v1/device/all that allowed any authenticated Tracki/Trackimo user to reveal information about any Tracki device, including the owner's email, their subscription plan, and device IMEI/IMSI/MSISDN. Furthermore, the affected parameter allowed for the injection of % as a wildcard character, allowing an attacker to retrieve device information in bulk.

2. Mobile apps contain hardcoded credentials for help.tracki.com Zammad ticket system

The mobile apps for Tracki contained 2 different forms of authorization to the Zammad ticketing system used by Tracki/Trackimo at help.tracki.com.
These credentials could be used to view sensitive information regarding other users' support tickets and accounts. 

3. Hardcoded credentials at API endpoint allow users to download Tracki api source code

The tracki mobile application contains code which makes requests to an API used by Tracki.
Error pages on this site would display an open instance of Ignition for Laravel, which leaked internal gitlab account credentials which could lead to source code disclosure.

Solution

According to Tracki support, these issues have been resolved.
Issue 1: Appears fixed
Issue 2: One set of credentials still appear present.
Issue 3: This issue has been fixed.

June 8, 2021 - Tenable requests security contact from Tracki support, receives no response.
June 14, 2021 - Tenable receives phone call from Tracki support, informing them to report vulnerabilities to [email protected] with a subject header of "For Legal Department"
June 15, 2021 - Tenable reports vulnerabilities to Tracki support, receives no response.
July 14, 2021 - Tenable requests an update, receives no response.
July 20, 2021 - Tenable receives phone call from Tracki, inquiring about the nature of Tenable's disclosure policy and services
July 20, 2021 - Tenable informs Tracki that they are not attempting to sell services, and are only reporting the issues in the interest of consumer/industry security
July 20, 2021 - Tracki acknowledges
July 28, 2021 - Tracki informs Tenable that the issues are being investigated and fixed
September 6, 2021 - Tracki informs Tenable that issues should be resolved, asks for confirmation
September 7, 2021 - Tenable informs Tracki that while issues 1 & 3 appear resolved, there still appears to be hard coded credentials for Zammad in the mobile application
September 9, 2021 - Tracki informs Tenable that they are checking whether the credentials are still a concern
September 14, 2021 - Tenable informs Tracki that the GitLab credential issue appears to again be present
September 14, 2021 - Advisory published
